The issue appears to be how Microsoft reads the triggers presses on the XBox One Controller under the Windows 7/8.1 Drivers and the Windows Drivers included under Windows 10. This controller breaks how the triggers work in the game making it impossible to to use the heavy sword action, and I will have to test as appropriate.
